The Margaret Herrick Library is the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' library and contains one of the world's most extensive and comprehensive research collections on the subject of motion pictures.
In 1984, Patricia Hitchcock donated her father's papers to the library where they now form the "Alfred Hitchcock Papers" collection. The collection consists of "production material, television material, subject files, books and periodicals, scrapbooks and oversize material."
