The Alfred Hitchcock Hour - Ten Minutes from Now

"Ten Minutes from Now" was originally broadcast on 01/May/1964 as part of the second season of The Alfred Hitchcock Hour.

Synopsis

Police grow suspicious of an unsuccessful artist named James Bellington after a city commissioner of parks and recreation recieves a series of bomb threats. James tries to met the commissioner. Since he is carrying a box that might be a bomb, police stop him. They discover that the box contains art supplies only. At an art museum, James is again stopped for carrying a suspicious package, which turns out to be harmless. The police force him to see a psychiatrist and he tells the psychiatrist that his next bomb threat will be real. The police again stop a bomb-carrying James at the museum. He gives everyone in the museum ten minutes to get out and they do. With the museum empty, James' accomplices steal the valuable paintings in the museum. They replace them with fakes painted by James himself. When the theft is complete, James surrenders. He opens the box but there is only a harmless alarm clock. Unaware of his part in the theft, the police let him go. (TV.com)
